# Case Study

<h3 align="center"><strong>Case Study 1: How can users assess an issuer’s ability to pay interest, and detect signs of delayed payments?</strong></h3>

<h3 align="center"><strong>Steps 1</strong></h3>

<h3 align="center">Steps 2</h3>

<figure><img src="https://706516220-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fn9brzGqnNDoN4CEHksRO%2Fuploads%2FnkXNf2BKWdpStAAxNCqr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c442372a-60fb-413e-b1b7-19cbf43c07cc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**1.** Go to **Bonds → Corporate Bonds → Issuers**.

**2.** Enter the code of the issuer you want to search.

**3.** Check the **Credit Events** column to see whether the issuer has previously violated obligations on principal or interest payments.\
\&#xNAN;*Tip: If an issuer has recorded violations in the past, investors should study its debt-servicing capacity more carefully before future investment decisions.*

**4.** Review the **Expected Bond Repayment Cash Flow** chart to assess upcoming repayment pressure.\
\&#xNAN;*Tip: Switch to Quarterly or Yearly view to check whether the bonds you hold mature before or after the “maturity wall” (peak repayment pressure), which may signal higher risk.*

<h3 align="center"><strong>Steps 3</strong></h3>

<figure><img src="https://706516220-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fn9brzGqnNDoN4CEHksRO%2Fuploads%2FHU8p70lleSs7ylVy6GAn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e68ae432-3cb2-45d0-aa8c-2e3c0a66f86f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The above steps serve as guidance only; investors should still conduct in-depth analysis before making their own assessment of an issuer’s debt-servicing capacity.
